Unlike Mindbody, which caters to a wide range of studios and adds complexity, Outclass is tailored exclusively for yoga and pilates, offering a simple and intuitive solution. It features usage-based pricing, NDIS-compliant invoicing, and full access to all features without tiered pricing—making it both affordable and comprehensive. With seamless Apple/Google Pay integration, Outclass also minimises booking friction, ensuring a smoother experience for both studio owners and clients.

PROBLEM

Before partnering with Mayfly, Outclass had developed an MVP with another agency. Despite the initial effort, the product was not fully functional, causing significant manual work for the Outclass team due to issues with payment subscriptions and other core features. The initial MVP was enough to attract some paying customers, but it was far from the seamless experience the founders envisioned.

Mayfly's journey with Outclass began with in-depth workshops to understand the value proposition and the pain points of studio owners. We discovered that studio owners were passionate about teaching but were bogged down by administrative tasks, especially managing class attendance and customer communications.

HOW WE GOT THERE

Collaborating with Product Strategist Geo George, we developed a robust product strategy, focusing on the critical needs of studio owners. The insights from these workshops shaped the development of a new, fully functional platform. Mayfly designed and developed the second version of Outclass, which is now poised for relaunch, promising a seamless and efficient experience for studio owners.

The Mayfly team went to work to design and deliver the solution focus on platform performance and scalability. In October 2024, the platform was ready for launch and is currently being rolled out in 5 pilot studios.

With a clear focus on the needs of yoga and pilates studios, Outclass, in partnership with Mayfly, is set to redefine studio management, making it simpler, more affordable, and more effective.
