Social-Impact Rewards Platform

VOLI is an all-in-one application that turns corporate goodwill into a measurable, engaging experience. Employees log acts of kindness—volunteering, blood donation, community service and more—earn points for each “VOLI” they complete, and trade those points for gift cards and other perks. At the same time, companies gain a real-time dashboard that rolls individual efforts into clear ESG metrics and culture-building stories, transforming social impact from a nice-to-have into a visible business asset.

PROBLEM

Founder Charlie Crozier envisaged a platform that would make doing good as easy as booking a meeting, but after conversations with a dozen development agencies he was staring at price tags between $300 k and a million dollars. As a non-technical founder he faced an impossible choice: raise a large seed round before he had a product, or shelve the idea. Meanwhile, potential customers were stuck tracking volunteer hours in spreadsheets and chasing receipts for CSR reports—friction that stifled participation and made impact hard to prove.

solution implemetation

Mayfly stepped in to bridge Charlie’s vision and the market’s needs. A series of deep-dive workshops translated the concept into user stories for employees, HR teams and CSR leads, then shaped an interface that feels more like a social app than enterprise software. Leveraging a blend of no-code and low-code frameworks, the team delivered features—opportunity listings, QR check-ins, automated reward fulfilment and ESG reporting—within a budget that came in at a fraction of earlier quotes. Security, scalability and single-sign-on were built in from day one, positioning VOLI for enterprise procurement without the usual startup drag.

HOW WE GOT THERE

Rapid prototyping and weekly user walkthroughs kept the build tethered to real-world workflows: a charity coordinator scans a QR code at a blood-drive booth; an employee logs a two-hour beach clean-up; a sustainability officer exports an impact report for the board. Each sprint shaved rough edges and shortened click paths, while Mayfly’s product coaching produced a roadmap compelling enough to raise $230 k in pre-seed capital—$50 k of it from Mayfly itself. The resulting pilot is now live with ten companies on a wait-list and a commitment to improve the experience by “two percent every week.”

"When we met Mayfly, both our budget and our timeline were completely re-evaluated. We went to market at a fraction of the cost and in a fraction of the time we’d expected—without compromising quality."

INSIGHTS

VOLI illustrates how social-impact programs take off when three barriers fall: tracking is effortless, recognition is immediate and reporting is automatic. Gamified points spark friendly competition; instant rewards sustain momentum; and backend analytics convert goodwill into hard numbers for ESG disclosures and employer-brand campaigns. Just as importantly, the project shows that low-code is not a compromise but a catalyst: by slashing time-to-market, it lets mission-driven founders test assumptions, attract capital and refine culture-shaping products long before a traditional build would even leave discovery.
