How it happened.
The same path every Mayfly project follows: the expertise a company already has, where it stopped scaling, and what was found and built.

01The expertiseWhat the company had
Builders who already had every record, just not in one place.
A residential building group in Victoria knew exactly what goes into a home: the products, the warranties, the certificates, the maintenance each one needs.
That knowledge existed. It sat in email threads and glovebox folders.
02The limitWhere it stopped scaling
From 1 July 2026, defect liability runs ten years, not six months.
Victorian builders now carry defect liability for ten years, up from six months. Most have no evidence trail to match.
A warranty that cannot be produced on demand is a liability the builder carries alone, and the paperwork that leaves with the owner is gone for good.

Map what a builder must be able to prove.
Before anything was built, Mayfly mapped what a builder has to show across the liability window, and designed the record around that.
The legislative change set a fixed deadline, so validation took two weeks and the build five months.

A record that stays with the home.
Handover+ captures every product, warranty, certificate and maintenance schedule at handover.
Owners receive a maintenance plan. Builders receive an evidence pack they can produce on demand. It launched with the building group so it could prove itself on real handovers.
